Back on track and it feels great!

Whew it feels good to be back on my game. Last week was a crazy hectic mess and the worst part is I just have this week before I have another crazy week. Next week I’ll be gone all week for military duty.

Between my test on wednesday, finding out on thursday that I had to go to a wedding on friday, going to the wedding and drinking heavily. My diet this last week has been less then optimal. But setbacks happen in fitness, the best you can do is just chin up and get back to work. And that is exactly what I’m starting today. That and doing some price checking on liability insurance for being a personal trainer.

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who commented on my test, I really appreciate everyone stopping by and reading what I write, whether it rambles sometimes or not ;)

Now that my test is out of the way, I’m getting ready to make some changes around here. I’ve been toying with the idea of self hosting my blog and I think that’ll be a reality here after I get back from my training next week.

So lets get some good work done this week! And to all that are working on becoming more fit or losing weight themselves keep up the good work!

  1. If you decide to indeed go self-hosted, please write some posts about it… I would self-host too, but I am a bit worried about the changeover/technical stuff involved. ;)

    • I will, its a learning process, I’m working on limited time so if its not ready this week it will have to wait a couple weeks.

  2. I am all in favor of self-hosting (if you mean purchasing your hosting from a provider where you use a name you own. If you mean hosting it on your own server at your own house, I am not ready to go there). I actually host several websites, and I have switched a few from one provider to another. I am just not sure what you will run into moving it from wordpress to your own domain. Good luck to you.

    • I am not nearly tech savey enough to put a server in my house lol. I think I’ll be using a provider just working out the kinks right now.

  3. I think there are some good wordpress plugins that will back up your database, but you may run into some complications if you use a different version of sql than what is used on your current hosting. Otherwise it is easy. Just be prepared for the worst and it should all go good. The best of luck to you.
